The AI Loadout

How to take Meeting Notes with an AI agent

Get a transcript from your meeting app, save it to a file, and ask your agent for decisions, action items and owners. Claude Code, Codex and Cursor all work from the transcript file. Grok Bot can join Google Meet, Zoom or Teams calls itself. Tell everyone the meeting is being recorded.

Claude Code

  1. Export the transcript from Zoom, Meet or Teams as text
  2. Ask: "From transcript.txt, list decisions, action items with owners and dates, and open questions."
  3. Save it as notes.md and share it yourself

Codex

  1. codex exec "turn transcript.txt into notes.md with decisions and action items"

Cursor

  1. Drop the transcript in the project
  2. Ask the agent for notes in your template

Grok Bot

  1. Ask Grok Bot to join the meeting by link
  2. It can read the meeting summary and transcript afterward
  3. Ask it to email the action items, and approve the send

Gotchas

  • Transcripts mishear names. Check owners before sending.
  • Do not record without consent.
  • Keep notes short. Nobody reads a 3 page summary.
